The research project
What?
As part of the bigger MYMOVE research project, I study digital nomads to understand the whys and hows of their unique lifestyles. This helps us inform aspiring digital nomads and advise employers and governments.
How?
I use digital nomads' personal stories, told through interviews and questionnaires, to deepen the understanding of the digital nomad lifestyle.
Who can join?
Have you been working remotely and living in multiple locations away from your workplace? Have you been living this lifestyle for at least one year? Get in touch to share your story!
ABOUT ME
I am fascinated by mobile lifestyles and how they affect people's well-being.
My name is Juul Henkens. I am a social scientist and fascinated by extreme forms of personal relocation such as nomadic lifestyles, and how this affects well-being. As part of my Ph.D. study, I am immersing myself in the digital nomad lifestyle by living in a foreign location and combining my passion for research with my love of traveling, teaching/practicing yoga, hiking, and surfing. Not bad!
